Employment
Depending on the type of job you want, finding work in the Quebec City area can be difficult if you do not speak French.
Job search services
The VEQ website has a job bank section on its website with English-speaking or bilingual jobs. Visit www.veq.ca, click on job bank. Also sign up for the job notifier to receive an update whenever a new position is posted (found in the left side navigation bar on the job bank page.)
Emploi Quebec’s website also provides information about the job market, jobs currently advertised, a resume bank service and other very useful tools. Visit their site at emploiquebec.net/index_en.asp.
The FORT Employability Program is mandated by Emploi-Québec to offer vocational and employment counselling to all English-speaking residents of the Greater Quebec City area, and is an active partner in the promotion of its English-speaking community. For more information on the services provided visit www.crfmv.com/soutien-emploi.php or call 418-649-6505.
