Join the Voice of English-speaking Québec and Actions interculturelles for an information session on Registered Education Savings Plans, special accounts which help you pay for a child’s education by offering tax-free growth and access to government grant money! The session will offer objective information on all types of plans, the free government money available to add to your savings and tips to make sure you get what you want when you meet with someone who offers RESPs.
Did you know that grandparents, aunts and uncles and family friends can open RESPs for a child too? Plus, you don’t have to be rich to open an RESP: there is up to $2000 in government money for low-income families to put in an RESP without having to contribute any of their own money.
Everyone is welcome to our information session Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 6:30pm in the Jeffery Hale Pavilion (1270 chemin Sainte-Foy). Free parking in the Jeffery Hale parking lot.
You will learn all about how to choose an RESP that best meets the needs of your family. Since we aren’t selling RESPs we can offer objective information about the choices available so that you can make an informed decision about saving for a child’s future.
