The annual Finding Your Niche for Newcomers Program offers a series of informative support sessions geared toward assisting newly-arrived English speakers as they adjust to life in the capital region.
These participant-driven sessions are aimed at providing an opportunity for new arrivals to interact informally, in a supportive setting and discover vital services that will help ease their adaptation and integration process. Sessions are free-of-charge and open to English speakers who have relocated to the greater Quebec City region in the past three years.
Each event also features personal survival tales from “seasoned” newcomers. These encounters add a touch of warmth to the sessions as integrated Anglophones talk about living, working and enjoying life in their adopted city. Allophones fluent in English are also benefiting from these services, making each event a delightful multi-cultural experience.
