Pen Pal Project

VEQ, in partnership with Heritage Canada, has developed a pen pal project focuses on language and culture exchange between Grade 4, 5 and 6 students in English and French schools in the Quebec City region. Each school will exchange letters in their own language which will help bridge the English and French youth communities.

Art and Culture Project
 VEQ, in partnership with the Jeffrey Hale Friends’ Foundation launched a “Learn to Draw and Paint Project” for youth between the ages of 12 and 20 taught by Gail Quin. 

Twice a week students meet at the studio andpush their imaginations to the limit. This program offers a safe space for youth to try out different types of painting and drawing in a completely English setting.  

Supplies and snacks are provided for the students. The program has been a success, with classes filling up quickly.

At the end of the sessions the students will have an opportunity to display their work at the larger annual art showcase Exposition Révélation 2010.
